The F-4G "Wild Weasel" Phantom is a dedicated electronic warfare (EW) platform, used by USAF Tactical Air Command and USAF Europe. It combines complex sensor, analyzer, and jammer systems with special antiradiation missiles to knock out surface-to-air missile (SAM) sites. It was used with great success in the Gulf war when teamed individually with F-16 Fighting Falcons in hunter/killer pairs. [See also F-4E]
